StockNest keeps a live copy of your inventory levels for every location and watches it for two things: items about to run out, and stock that has gone negative. Set a default reorder point, then override it per SKU or per location. Alerts arrive as one deduplicated email or Slack digest, and clear themselves when stock recovers. Need to fix quantities? Filter by SKU or low stock, preview the exact records and the change, apply it in the background with live progress, and undo the run if needed.

FAQStockNest — common questions
- What does StockNest alert me about?
- Items at or below their reorder point, items out of stock, and — on Starter and above — stock that has gone negative. Alerts are deduplicated, sent immediately or as a daily/weekly digest by email (up to five recipients) or Slack, and clear themselves when stock recovers.
- Can I set different reorder points for different products?
- Yes. Set a default, then override it per SKU, product, collection, vendor, product type, tag or location; the most specific rule wins.
- Does it work across multiple locations?
- Yes. StockNest keeps a live copy of inventory per item per location, kept fresh by Shopify webhooks and a daily reconcile, so alerts and adjustments are location-aware.
- Does StockNest read my orders or customer data?
- Only on the Pro plan, for forecasting: each sale or refund is reduced immediately to units per variant per day. No order numbers, names, addresses, emails or prices are stored, and no customer scope is requested.
- Is there a free plan?
- Yes — low-stock and out-of-stock alerts are on every plan, including Free. Starter ($7/month) adds negative-stock detection, Slack and CSV import/export; Pro ($19/month) adds forecasting with days of cover and reorder suggestions.
