This policy covers the website at appnest.studio (“the site”), operated by AppNest Studio. It is short because the site is simple: it collects almost nothing.
Each app has its own privacy policy, linked from page and listed under /legal, and from the app's Shopify App Store listing. Those policies describe what the app reads from your store and why. This page covers the website only.
What we collect
- Contact form: if you write to us, we keep the name, email address, store URL (if given), subject and message you submit, so we can reply. Submissions are stored in a Google Sheet operated by us (Google LLC is the processor).
- Launch waitlist: if you ask to be told when an app launches, we keep your email address, which app you asked about and the date. It goes to the same Google Sheet. We use it for one thing only: a single email when that app is live on the App Store. It is not a newsletter and we don't add you to one.
- Email: if you email support@appnest.studio, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to resolve the matter and for our records.
- Server logs: our hosting/CDN provider, Cloudflare, Inc., keeps standard web-server logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp, user-agent) for security and operations, as our processor.
- Guide votes: if you press “useful” or “not useful” on a guide, we store the guide, your choice, and a one-way salted hash of your IP address and browser user-agent . Used only so one reader counts once and can change their mind. We do not store your IP address, and the hash cannot be turned back into one. Nothing is stored unless you press a button. Votes are kept in a Cloudflare D1 database for about 13 months.
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. Outside the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it sets one first-party cookie (
_ga, 13 months) so returning visits are counted. For visitors in those regions it runs with storage consent denied: no cookie is set and the anonymous pings are not used in our reports. Google LLC processes this data as our processor; GA4 does not store IP addresses, advertising features and Google signals are switched off, and you can block it with any content blocker without affecting the site.
What we don't do
- No tracking across sites, no user profiles, no advertising features.
- No advertising, and no advertising cookies.
- Apart from the analytics cookie described above, the site sets no cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly-necessary security cookie.
- We never sell or share your details with anyone for marketing.
Why we process it
To answer your message, to tell you when an app you asked about is live, to know which guides are worth keeping current (both our legitimate interest in running the studio and supporting our apps), and to keep the site secure.
How long we keep it
Contact submissions and support email: up to 24 months after the last message in the thread, then deleted. Waitlist entries: until we send you the launch email, or until you ask us to remove you. Reply to any message from us and the row is deleted. Server logs: per Cloudflare's retention, typically days. Guide votes: about 13 months, then they expire automatically. Analytics data: 14 months in Google Analytics (its shortest retention setting), aggregated.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our processing. Email support@appnest.studiowith “Privacy” in the subject. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority.
Children
The site is intended for merchants and businesses, not children.

We'll update this page when the site changes. The effective date at the top tells you when.
