These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Watermarkly ("App") provided by AppNest Studio ("we", "our", "us"). By installing and using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of service
Watermarkly is a Shopify application that allows merchants to apply text or image watermarks to their product images. The App provides bulk application, automatic watermarking, undo/restore, scheduling, and related features.
2. Account and access
To use the App, you must have a valid Shopify store and grant the App the required permissions (read_products, write_products). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Shopify account.
3. Plans and billing
- Free: text watermarks with 14 fonts, colour presets, 50 images per month, up to 20 products per job, live preview, undo and restore for 7 days, activity log.
- Starter ($3.99/month, or $19.15/year): logo and text watermarks, auto-apply on new uploads, product stickers (5 shapes), 500 images per month, image compression and resize, right-click protection, before/after comparison, 30-day undo retention.
- Growth ($7.99/month, or $38.35/year): everything in Starter, batch scheduling, Google Shopping sync, 5,000 images per month, up to 5,000 products per job, 60-day undo retention, collection-based apply, analytics dashboard.
- Enterprise ($14.99/month, or $71.95/year): everything in Growth, unlimited images per month, up to 30,000 products per job, 90-day undo retention, custom sticker image uploads, in-app notifications, sticker editor with custom colours, dedicated email support.
Current prices and limits are shown on the App Store listing and inside the App; where they differ from this page, the listing prevails. Billing is handled through Shopify's native subscription system. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time through the App or your Shopify admin.
4. Image processing
- The App modifies product images by applying watermarks as configured by you.
- Original images are stored to enable restoration. We recommend keeping backups of your images independently.
- We are not responsible for any image quality degradation that may occur during processing.
- The App replaces images on Shopify — the original Shopify-hosted image is deleted and replaced with the watermarked version.
5. Limitations
- The App processes images asynchronously. Processing time depends on the number of images and server load.
- The App respects Shopify's API rate limits. Large bulk operations may take longer during peak times.
- Custom fonts in watermarks are rendered using system font fallbacks on the server. The live preview may differ slightly from the actual output.
6. Your responsibilities
- Ensure you have the right to use any logos or images uploaded as watermarks.
- Do not upload malicious files or use the App for any unlawful purpose.
- Maintain your own backups of product images as a precaution.
7. Data and privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We handle your data in accordance with Shopify's API terms and GDPR requirements.
8. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
9. Limitation of liability
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify store. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated.
11. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
