These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BackNest ("the App"), a Shopify application published by AppNest Studio. By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
BackNest keeps a version of your products, collections (including manual sort order), pages, blog articles and inventory quantities each time they change, lets you compare any version against the current one, and restores the fields you select. It can recreate items you have deleted, one at a time or in bulk over a time window. Version history length and the number of products covered depend on your selected plan.
2. Accounts & access
You must have an active Shopify store to use the App. No other account is required. You are responsible for reviewing a restore preview before confirming it, and for the versions you choose to restore.
3. What the App changes in your store
The App writes to your store only when you ask it to. A restore updates the fields you tick on the items you select; it never writes a field you did not choose. A bulk restore runs against the set shown in its preview. Recreating a deleted item creates a new item from its last stored version. The App does not delete products, collections, pages or articles.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App to violate any law, infringe others' rights, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.
5. Billing
Paid plans are billed through Shopify's native billing system according to the plan you select. Charges are handled by Shopify; refunds and cancellations follow Shopify's billing policies. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the App or your Shopify admin.
6. Data
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We act as a data processor for your store data and do not sell your data. The App requests no access to orders, customers, payments or themes, so it never receives customer personal data. Uninstalling the App deletes the stored version history for your store.
7. Availability & disclaimer
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We aim for high reliability and alert you by email when a backup fails, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and the App is not a substitute for your own records. Shopify may impose rate limits or outages beyond our control.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AppNest Studio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost sales or lost data arising from your use of the App, including from a restore you chose to run. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the preceding three months.
9. Changes & termination
We may update these Terms and the App from time to time; continued use constitutes acceptance. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Nothing in this section removes any mandatory protection you have under the law of the country you live or trade in.
